The last installment of the Avengers series was released a couple of months ago. Seeing this pop-culture era come to an end has been an emotional moment for most of its fans all over the world. So, when nine puppies arrived at the shelter on the same day of the phenomenal movie’s premiere, the Friends Animal Shelter of Cocke County staff thought of a brilliant idea. They named all of them after the heroes of the famous film.
Five out of the nine super adorable puppies (namely Thanos, Wasp, Carol Danvers, Doctor Strange, Potts, Antman, Okoye, Stark, and Captain Marvel) were male, and the rest were female. The litter of pooches was only six weeks old when they first got into the shelter. However, they seem to have already gone through a lot.
According to Alisha Henry, the director of the said shelter, the litter of pups reeked of cigarette smoke and were full of worms. They also seemed very hungry as they immediately wolfed down the food that the shelter staff gave them.
Just like the fictional heroes that they were named after, these pups have superhero strength. Each day, they are holding on, fighting to get better despite their circumstances. Thankfully, they seem to be winning their battle.
Carol Danvers and Okoye are adopted! The Avenger Puppies have arrived! 6 weeks old and super cute. They are not available to go home yet, but come pick your puppy out! They are little lovebugs!
A few days after they got into the shelter, the adorable Avengers pups were already up for adoption. Some of them immediately found their forever home. It seems that the shelter staff’s plan of naming them after the superheroes to help them get adopted worked.
Hopefully, all of them will find new loving families soon. And, with any luck, they would be able to keep their Avengers name. However, finding a family that would take good care of them and helps them live a life of happiness is the most important of all.
