When Yvette Bowens from New Jersey saw her French Bulldog she knew he was the one. Born on the same day as son Liam, this was a sign. Yvette expressed that she wanted a dog that is going
to obey her be Alert, Lively, Affectionate, Sociable, playful and Bright. When she saw French Bulldog Duke he fitted all her Criteria. Yvette Quoted the saying about a mans best friend is his dog on this occasion its Babies Best friend the Evening Standard reported.
Duke the French Bulldog joined the Bowens 6 months ago since then he has been like Iiams shadow. Yvette said you cannot separate them. We are sure Liam things Duke is Human. They Eat Sleep bath together.
They are both going through stages together chewing on everything in their sight and also walking at the same space. Yvette has said I trust Duke with Liam if I am not around he guards him it’s so Beautiful and Fascinating to watch. We love duke he is now such a big part of our family
The Bowens are making the most of Duke as his life expectancy is between 10-12 years. Duke is a rare dog breed and incredibly kid-friendly he is a great companion fabulous family friend and show dog. His breed was created in England they traveled with English lacemakers to France in search of work in the Industrial Revolution during the 1800s. The Breed is thought to be a cross between an English Bull Dog and terrier type dogs.
The Modern French Bulldog seen today is a spin-off from big ancient dogs bred by a Greek tribe called the Molossians The dogs were bred to other breeds creating Sub Families Creating breeds such as Rottweiler, Saint Bernard, Newfoundlands Great Pyreness and Bullenbeiser which is now extinct they were used for bull baiting and fighting. Bull Baiting was stopped in 1835 by Britain which changed the Bull Dog Role forever.
